Imagine you are a network engineer at a major broadband company. Customers have begun to complain that the download speed provided by your company is less than or equal to the advertised minimum speed of twelve (12) Mbps. Your boss believes the download speed is greater than 12 Mbps. He wants to solve the problem at hand and has asked you to investigate.
You have your employees randomly select thirty (30) customers at random and perform speed tests. The results of your sample and your calculations are shown in the Excel file provided in the assignment instructions in Blackboard.
Write a two to three (2–3) page report using the provided template in which you:
1. Construct a box-and-whisker plot for the download speed in Mbps.
1. Copy the sample mean, median, and standard deviation for the download speed in Mbps.
1. Construct a 95% Confidence Interval for the download speed in Mbps.
1. Copy the hypothesis test to verify if your boss’s belief that the download speed in Mbps is greater than twelve (12) Mbps is supported. Clearly state the logic of your test, the calculations, and the conclusion of your test.
1. Provide the following discussion based on the conclusion of your test:
4. If you conclude that the customer’s claim of download speed less than or equal to twelve (12) Mbps cannot be rejected, speculate on three (3) possible causes for the slowed speed. Next, suggest the strategies to avoid the deficit in the future.

4. If you conclude that the download speed is greater than twelve (12) Mbps, provide a detailed explanation to your boss about the situation. Include your speculation on the reason(s) behind the claim, and recommend one (1) strategy geared toward mitigating this issue in the future.
