I’m working on a health & medical discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
Question 1: Review the classmates’ posts and respond to at least one in a minimum of 150 words.?Explain why you agree or disagree. Then, share an example from your professional experience to support your assertions.
The mock study will be a qualitative phenomenological one. Phenomenology describes something that exists as an integral part of the world in which we live (Astalin, 2013). Phenomenological data analysis starts with bracketing off the researcher’s bias. This refers to setting aside the researcher’s prejudgments and predisposition toward the phenomenon; for example, researchers keep their subjectivity in reserve throughout the study (Moustaksa, 1994). One aims to explore the human experiences of how a subset population of homeless individuals in the inland region of Southern California recovers from orthopedic injuries with no follow-up care. In analyzing the data, one must bracket out any beliefs or ideas of how the homeless recover from their orthopedic injuries and allow the data to reveal the phenomena. It is also appropriate to use content analysis for my mock study as it interprets the content of information. The plan is to collect data by observing the homeless and conducting semi-structured interviews, to hear from them directly about how they recover. According to Davies (2012), content analysis is usually used to analyze responses from interviewees. Once the interview responses are analyzed, themes, narratives, and stories will begin to emerge that will speak to the homeless individuals lived experiences as it relates to their recovery without follow-up care.
